Hai all,

Here is a thread where you can list games that you have looked at, which have or doesn't have the common model and texture format "NSBMD and NSBTX" for the DS. Thought that this thread would make it easy for people wanting to get a certain model format from a game. If you have the information, you can include the format, or what kind of compression it uses. If any of the models i have listed are wrong, tell me and I will fix them. I will also list which game model formats MKDS Course Modifier will open.

Nsmb uses lz77 compression. MKDS uses no compression. MKDS CM also supports models of mario party ds. (using the board viewer. and also stand alone, but they are packed)

Really? I remember trying to open them but nothing happened when I clicked on the model. I'll fix those two now.

Mario Party DS don't use nsbmd. It uses hbdf (hudson basic data format). With the sub types mdlf, texs. There are no extensions.

Inazuma Eleven games use NSBMDs too.

Some pkb and pkh files contain nsbmds only and some only nsbtx.

You can open it on Tinke.

Animal Crossing: Wild World uses NSBMDs. Like NSMB and MKDS Beta, the textures are stored inside the NSBMD itself, except things like alternate textures (eg eyes) are stored in a separate NSBTX file. It also uses NSBCAs for Animation, like most NSBMDs. Plus they work fine with MKDS Course Modifier, as an added bonus :P

Mario Party DS does NOT use nsbmd. Hbdf is NO nsbmd. It's a foreign format.

Tomix, inside pkh and pkb there are nsbmds and nsbtxs. pkb and pkh are like narc and carc!

I think we should make a page on the wiki about 3d models. And then list games and which formats they use.
