Make it CLEAR. Include instructions or something like that.

Maybe you can add a kcl generator that allows the user to select a polygon, put the collision offset to the polygon, and then export a kcl file from the input data of each polygon in the nsbmd file. It would certainly help users of the program to test and create their kcl files for CTs more easily. :) Well, what do you think of that idea, Geri?

No. There is no need for that.

What do you mean?

Basically said, he wants you to make an KCL Generator, which automatically adjusts to the Model.
It's pretty much possible, if you use an Octree (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Octree), so "that's not possible" is not a valid excuse, before you say so.

I just don't see his point. Creating a kcl, means converting obj to it, so what should be different?

I didn't know, I have never Hacked MKDS, beyond File Swapping, and Hex Editing.

I thought maybe you could choose a .nsbmd file to open and then manually add collision data to the polygons , then export a kcl file, without it modifying the .nsbmd in the process. Was that more specific, Geri?

Do you mean NSBMD->KCL?

*sigh*, I guess so, but more user friendly. :)

But why do you want it. When you create a custom track, most of the time you create from obj. And if you mean Original tracks, you can export their kcl to obj, edit and reimport.

Wait, so the old program can export kcl to obj and import obj to kcl, please correct me if I'm wrong. And as for the reason I want that feature, is because often times  in mkdsce/cm, the kcl would be incorrectly placed into the coordinates for the CT and I'd like a more accurate kcl generator by allowing users to set the coordinates to the kcl rather than having it automatically generated based on the model, granted, it may take a bit longer to make the kcl, but it would be more accurate to the geometry of the CT.

EFE can convert kcl->obj, and back ofcourse.
If I generate a kcl, it is always 100% correct with the model, so I don't see your point.

Oh, okay, never mind then. That feature on your new tool sounds pretty solid. :D

yes I would also like the release date, and I don't see how this program could work with every file. I mean for some files you need more features and such, can that be added with one dll? I thought it was only in the exe.

I am not giving a release date, because that will make me need to hurry and such. I work on it when I can, and I will release it when it is ready for it.

In fact you should be able to make every file viewable using my tool. What kind of features do you mean?

extra information, like if a file is compressed or not. also some archive files have files which do not have a name. so that would be a problem to list actually.
