2d nkm editors are better because they are simpler to run and easier to make. A 3d editor would be hard to make.

Well I'm guessing then it would be possible to make a plugin for EFE with a 3D NKM editor correct?

Yes. That should be possible. (but I still have to add a dialog to choose the plugin to use, when 2 plugins offer the same format)

What do you mean?
Not yet. But I am going to make, that you can edit materials, nodes and texture definition settings, and their names.
For example, you'll be able to change the alpha value or the lights of a material, and set the texture repetition mode in the texture defenition.

Will efe be able to convert files or not?

Yes. I am going to implement obj->nsbmd and nsbmd->obj.

I will look at that when I implement Nitro System SND.

Looks great Geri. I have one thing to suggest for  OBJ -> NSBMD though. Have an option to set how intense the diffuse materal is. For example, in MKDS CM, I think it was set to the max at 1. Most models from what I've seen use .8, and I think it would be good to either set the default to either .8, or be able to change it when you import it.

Shit, didn't read your post above.

Do you have plans for an NMK to KMP (MK7) converter?

Then I guess it'll be time, to Port MKDS to MK7, and make it Higher Poly.

Can you fix the SM64DS BMD animations? They are messed up in MKDSCM (unless you fixed that in the last version).

When I make a SM64DS plugin, I will have a look at it.

Geri, something about the NKM editor. It'd be better if it had proper sections viewer, (look at KMP Cloud). Also it be better if you add itembox maker with default values. Same can be applied to IPOIs. Also, if drifting values were viewable....

PS. IPOI to EPOI and EPOI to IPOI would be appreciated. Also, I'd like to have a better move option; I'm too lazy to click each time to move something from the bottom...

- What do you mean? What's wrong with the current way of viewing?
- I will see what I can do.
- Idem
- I will make that
- See 2

I will look at that when I implement Nitro System SND.

Perhaps implementing CTR SND might also be a neat idea. Of course there's almost no documentation, but I'm sure something will come about some day, or perhaps one of the leaked SDKs could offer some form of insight into the binary format.

Also, when you implement Nitro SND, will you be correcting the direct output error that MKDS Course Editor has? It'd be really nice to have the ability to play squares, but MKDSCE plays the squares around one octave too high. I'd fix it myself, but the program isn't open-sourced.

I have already started on NW4C SND. (bcstm) I have some sdk that contains almost every bit of information I need.

So the only error is the square wave? Also, I knew that is wasn't correct, but I couldn't find out what the correct frequency should be.
